We Were Never Meant Poem by Gary James Smith

We Were Never Meant

God's Silent We Were Never Meant

We were never meant to figure out life
For life is out of our hands
Only God knows the end of our beginnings
For He holds the Master plan
We may all wish to die of old age
But that may not necessarily be our lot
So important is the urgency to love
To love...and to love a lot
Lay aside all minor matters there's a whole world to enjoy
Be swift to forgive the smallest of things
And you'll reap a harvest of joy
Remember death doesn't end it all
Your grief will soon find grace
Go live your life with love in mind
And enjoy a life of peace...

Hallelujah what a Saviour
