Weeds Among Roses Poem by Paul Sebastian

Weeds Among Roses

In dungeons of my mind
I sought deep-rooted weeds
Wildly grown thoughts did I find
Choking roses of thought-seeds

One by one I weeded them out
Parasitic weeds smothering roses
Making sum total of my make-up
Weeds among thought-roses

Festering negative thought-weeds
Crushing roses to profusely bleed
If my life is purposed to succeed
I must uproot these killer-weeds

Weeds of doubts alongside love, rout
Neither can love survive without trust
Nor can love be anything to shout
Love dies, another one bites the dust
