Weight Of Rumors Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Weight Of Rumors

Rumors flowing in all directions, measuring their intensity,
knowing that if said out loud, it would be hurting and
damaging an innocent soul for no apparent reason at all.

Not willing to spread it around, for it would not be a fact
or truth, hiding it away in depths of what is never to be
said or shared with anyone in this life or any other.

Using poignant and serious thoughts that collapse beneath
the weight of rumors leading to an underground grave of
what's never been said.
