The atrocious news makes the headline in the newspaper,
A mother has killed her two little children due to stark poverty,
Though the neighbours say it otherwise.
Whatever the reason, the amazing fact is that
In spite of committing such an obnoxious sin,
The woman stands normal, unbelievably calm and quiet,
No trace of repentance in her face and eyes.
What gall she has nourished in her mind?
What wicked hands she has prepared for perpetrating such a dreadful crime?
Oh! she has defamed the name of a mother,
Still she is written as a mother,
What a shock she has been for this era!
