POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Note: I wrote this poem after watching videos of yellow vest protesters clashing with police in Paris yesterday. This happens when a ruling elite is totally cut off from the goals and desires of the citizens and people enter a rage induced frustration that leads to violence. We will eat cake while the serfs get a few crumbs off the table from the money they are stealing from the our tax revenues and pension funds. Picking such incompetent puppets to see to the interests of an elite few will eventually come to what we are seeing in France and spreading to other Lands. The forces of evil have never been too bright and the ones of Light has always been too few. This is the end result.

I wrote this poem yesterday in the haiku style of poetry and published it for the first time on my blog today, the 24th of February 2019.Another one in the social, political arena which is the darkest part of our humanity.

Tragic situation and a repeat of history when the ruling class is out of touch with the majority of citizens. People can only take so much and when the brim is full it spills over. Gripping poem, scathing theme.

Yes, Cynthia. Tragic, indeed. The root causes continue as average folks continue to suffer. Thanks for reading and commenting on my newest poem.
