What Is Love Poem by Holly Jamestone

What Is Love

What is LOVE?
No need to ponder the answer
When you simply know by the way
Love becomes the companion to your heart
Inhabits your mind when you’re apart
Makes you smile for no particular reason
Creates twangs of yearning during short absences
Coats you with hope and longing
Rolls you in brown sugar and butter
Until you are baked in ultimate desire
To share this recipe with your beloved
And meld together like peas and carrots
In your own casserole of life, A bliss
That no one else may truly understand
But it simply does not matter because
No need to ponder the answer
When you simply know by the way
Love becomes the companion to your heart
And that, my friend, is the answer to the question
What is LOVE?

the poem is good, lines are enticing, but i want to think in the reverse and write about what is not love when in perceived love
