What Is The Cure? Poem by Fernando Alvarez

What Is The Cure?

When I go to bed with my emotions inside me at night,
I think about things that could get me out of this life.
When suicide is the only answer that comes into my head,
I think of what it might be like if I were dead.
Things would be better, no more pain in my heart or mind.
No more thinking about what's going to get me through, or answers to find.
No more sad days, crying nights, or pain.
Just take the razor, and slice till I hit the right vein.
It will be so good, so sweet, such bliss.
Leaving this life, and welcoming death with a kiss.
I'll be looking down on all those I loved.
Watching over them, from up above.
It would be better this way, this I am sure.
For life is the disease, and death is the cure.
