What Is Time? Poem by Irene C S ClarkHogg

What Is Time?

Just given time,
The riddle solver.
All problems gone,
Worries pass and cast asunder.
Answers given: Tick tock.

What is time?
The great protector,
The healer of all wounds,
Assuager of all pain and grief.
Peace at last: Tick tock.

Life is a time,
The educator;
Showing us the truth
Of our child like ignorance.
Knowledge gained: Tick tock.

What is Time?
The humour within
The great illusion
Of the cosmic clock.
Birth, death, Tick.

Of all the benchmarks I liked the last one the most. It is really the list of illusions that once appeared to be reality. The 'lighted fools' of yesterdays. CP

Time is.it is not a convenience invented by man to satisfy his urge to subdivide everything to try and find out how it works best to his convenience
