We get up in the morning go to work or school
We try to live our lives by the golden rule
So much contradiction as we face the reality of life
Yes, society expects a lot from us - we live with much
Strife
Preachers, judges, politicians, all lay down the laws
We are expected to obey - not question the flaws
What’s it all about - as we try to understand
Our lives are conducted by those in command
We naturally all know what is right and what is wrong
For we live our lives knowing we all belong
Again I ask - what’s it all about - as I lay down to sleep
Sometimes sleep comes hard - I find myself counting
Sheep
Living our lives with the same old routine
We live as actors we view on the movie screen
And so life goes on day by day
We try to make sense of it all - here in the good old
USA
But no one can live his or her life complete - without
Asking the question
What’s it all about? - With deep obsession
