With A Thing Called Love (Poem)

Have you ever watched a small bird peck at the ground?
He seems to have it all together - knowing his way around

Some people are the same as they carry on through the day
Living by God’s nature - the realistic way

It seems the older we get the more we shun away from
The mysteries life holds
Gazing at a star as a child - what a secret to unfold

Reality as we know it - has us under its spell
No time to wonder about the unknown - all is well

For we must eat to survive - and food is not free
Therefore, we must work for money - we must pay our fee

Life as we know it with its rules - are not always so easy
To live by
But yet they are with us - until the day we die

To try to make a wrong right is a very difficult task
For it means getting an answer - to the many questions
We ask

So here we all are - the whole human race - all accounted
For
We all fit into many different categories - but we must not
Ignore

That life in itself is a blessing from up above
We were all created - with a thing called love
