What's Keeping You And Me

Rating: 5.0

Untie me, pull me down, show me what I’ve done.
I hear your cries, all the time, broken records play for us in this
Home you call a haunted house, think I might believe
Every little word you write me now, from your mouth, silver lining seems
So far away, at times we speak, just so the other one knows we’re there,
Simple sighs, reddened eyes, things we do, notice no longer scare.
Sympathy, empathetically, given out to the only one we love,
Guess it’s all just therapy, for my selfish pain, and your mangled beauty.

Being there for each other is the best reason
That we have for going on, one moment, is everything to me,
As long as I spend it with you, I care because you are
Everything that I love, but find nowhere else in the whole world.
When I stab it you feel, when you kiss it I heal,
‘Cause were so very different, but together we are the same
Bleeding disaster of past endeavors, roll up into a ball,
Just cut the edges, fold it in closer, you’ll see we’ve made one heart.

I feel it in your heart, you read it in my time,
We tell each other everything all the undying time.
Too desperate for our own good,
Listen to each other’s thoughts, think we feel it, gotta heal it,
Keep me alive, I’ll do the same for you,
Emotions running like a river, down the bodies, all-believer,
Hell on the outside, but joy on the in,
Thank the lord that we’re together, holding forever and ever and…

Ever, always we take the same roads, the same mistakes follow us
Like the moon chases the sun away from the days of our saddened voices.
Call me, I beg you, can’t go on, life goes on, don’t go on without me,
And in return, I’ll give my soul, ‘cause I know I’m what’s keeping you- I know…

I know you’re what’s keeping me- I know…

We’re keeping each other alive.
