who will wake
the earthquake
who will release
a peaceful ripple
into a tsunami wave
who will vote
for honourable peace
who will in warrior pride call for war?
who holds a ceremonial role
who holds real power in shadows
decides unseen for peace or war?
lingering smoke of sacrifical fires
burning still fills surviving nostrils
scares victim homeless many hands

Pride and war do go together. Humility seems to be the domain of the peacemakers. Can these elements, types, realities, personalities co-exist?
The hawks kill the doves, the war mongers kill peace makers; I live for the day when the common mass of humanity will rise up and reject wars justified with the rethoric labels of the day; and demand accept nothing less than peace for all humanity; this belief is late in arriving but it will come but the majority already love peace more than war; the gods of war will fall, they will one day be torn down and humanity will embrace and age of peace; the only question is when.
