What would Jesus say
If he saw a beggar today,
Would he give them food, in a joyful mood
Or would he just turn and walk away.
What if Jesus saw a sinner
And people cursed and judged him or her,
Would he judge as well, sending then to hell
Or with them would he have dinner.
What would Jesus think
If he saw a stranger others hated at a sink,
Would he hate, wanting to judge their fate
Or would he asked the stranger for a drink.
What would Jesus do
If he saw an immigrant or a sinner that no one knew,
Them would he judge, or hold a grudge
Or would he say, I love you.
What would be Jesus's accord
If he saw a person carrying a weapon like a sword,
Wouldn't he say those who live by it, will die by it
Or would his words be ignored.
What would Jesus see
If he looked at either you or me,
Would he see himself, wanting to forgive and help
Or would he say, I never knew thee.
