What Yesterday Left Behind Poem by David Harris

The pendulum swings back and forward
as time forever marches on.
I never think of what tomorrow might bring,
but only what yesterday has left behind.
The flower colours that faded in the sun,
the hearts that were broken
when lovers parted company
for in tomorrow they will be just a memory.
Today we must live for what we have
and hold everything within our hearts dear
never let it become a memory
when tomorrow has begun.
We must cherish each moment we have
for we never know when tomorrow comes
we may not be here.
Love your life and live it to the full
because the pendulum never stops
and time keeps marching on.
