When A Thinker Is Sick Poem by Phillip Nine Mafunga

When A Thinker Is Sick

It's not that I'm always right
Could be right always to avoid a fight
As long as the escape angle is not tight

It's not that I'm right always
At times confusion sets me sideways
Straying into dead ended pathways

Well, you know, I could be right in my being wrong
And still keep listening to songs that make me feel strong
But I understand, poverty and week minds, together they belong
