Where's the sun that'd rise in the east
and warm our frozen village hearts
What happen'd to the cool morning breeze
that'd give a soft sound to our village daybreak
What's caused the village moon to hide her face in shame
and hang clumsily in the sky bu' the innocent blood of the unborn
What happen'd to the moonlit nights of dance n' song
where the littl' ones ne'er disappeared without trace like now
What happen'd to the village of love, peace n' safety
where no perverts nor ritualists nor thieves prowled our spaces unrestrained
What happen'd to the mesmerizing milk way
even in the dark of the noon day'd lead both hunter n' sailor alike
What happen'd to the famed north star
that'd sit still in the sky n' be unmoved by the so called village civilization
What happen'd to Venus, the beautiful morning star
that'd give hope to all villagers, of the breaking of a new day
Is it not the time to rejoice in hope once again
sing n' dance in the village square; our great victory lap
