When Chasing Comes The Chair Poem by Aniruddha Pathak

When Chasing Comes The Chair

Rating: 1.0

Defeated, he resigned there and there,
But what if chasing comes when the chair.
Or so things might well seem,
Sour has turned his sweet dream!
How can walk out a self-chosen heir?
Born so at very birth—
Leave aside leader's worth,
And there's none with salt his shoes to wear.

The political party was badly defeated and promptly the party head offered to resign. A show had to be orchestrated. And as you expect, his resignation was not accepted. Now, what can the poor man do when his chair comes chasing him?
