When Christmas Comes Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

When Christmas Comes

When Christmas comes,
No one seems to get some sleep.
Too joyful this feeling.
Felt as if to stay for weeks.
And those we meet on streets to greet,
Has a smile from ear to ear.
Like no other day this day can cause.
Each year when Christmas nears.

When Christmas comes.
So does the fun.
Of unwrapping gifts exchanged.
With dancing eyes and hugs of love.
Christmas does this.
Like no other day to name.

And when Christmas comes,
No one can be heard to say...
They wish this feeling that Christmas brings,
Would stop it felt to go away.

When Christmas comes to reminisce it missed.
The happiness of it seems to linger.
And even though other seasons may be enjoyed,
None like Christmas is awaited to appear...
To fill the air with excitement.
Done bringing cheer to the atmosphere.
