When He Hanged Crucified Poem by Gert Strydom

When He Hanged Crucified

When the one who was truth,
whose commands
created light and everything
hanged crucified
selfless He asked God
to forgive them
who was crucifying Him innocently
and as darkness befall Him
He cried: “My God, my God,
why have you forsaken me? ”
and He the Son of God died
for the sins of the world.
