When I Loved Katrina
Poem by Freeyad Ibrahim

When I loved Katrina
I loved all the world
I embraced ALL I met
The whole world turned
into Katrina in my eyes.
When I loved Katrina
the clouds became flowers
waving in the skies
The tears turned into pearls
The frowns turned into smiles
upon the cheeks of a sweaty Girls
Darkness turned light
The blacks into white
The angler embraced the fish
The fish invited the worm
for a tasty delicious dish
All foes turned friends
The wolves turned birds
swerving in the height
Roars turned songs
souls flying in delight
Thunders into melodies
For which the heart longs
When I loved Katrina
The rivers turned symphonies
Dictators into musicians
The demons into angels
Flying around flattering wings
Making cheerful all things

This is beautiful. Its a pity you stopped loving Katrina because the world would have been a peaceful place. You have done good my brother.
