When Love Comes Softly Poem by Melvina Germain

When Love Comes Softly

Rating: 5.0

When love comes softly and the rainbow cradles the open sea,
I look to the sky and find your face lovingly, looking at me.

When love comes softly and the whisper of the willow trees flow,
I feel your warmth in the evening wind touching me so.

When love comes softly while standing by the riverside
watching the eddies play and the seagulls glide- - -I think of you

When love comes softly, I picture you dressed in white satin lace,
rosy cheeks, crimson lips and a big smile on your face.

When love comes softly, I give thanks for having you in my life,
now I must say goodbye to you my sweet, sweet precious wife.

The title pulled me in, this is one of those poems that you need to read when you feel like nobody loves you, and the world is grey, grey, grey then suddenly theres a rainbow and everything is right again. When love comes softly while standing by the riverside watching the eddies play and the seagulls glide- - -I think of you a perfect open couplet, captures everything great about this poem. Tender and Sweet.

Rainbow cradles open softly to the sea and when love comes softly this whispers in intelligent manner indicating having sweet memories with lovely family. Very neat, wise and interesting poem shared really in this context. Amazing sharing....10
