When Rain Comes Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

When Rain Comes

When rain comes
The heat vanishes and
The air becomes cool
The trees and grasses
Turn green and rivers, wells
And ponds are full

When rain comes
A soothing music of its
Falling hangs in the air
Rain drops hang onto roofs
And awnings and run down
The streets and stairs

When rain comes
Children run to village
Ponds and jump into it from
The swaying boughs
Farmers walk to the fields
From the early morning with
Theirs cattle and ploughs

When rain comes
