When Sin Poem by Gary James Smith

When Sin

Rating: 5.0

When Sin

When sin in its volume, weight, and mass
Descended upon our Lord
He took it all victoriously and rendered it
And left it in full discord
It was not happy with what had occurred
When it lost its power over Him
God's righteousness was proven "Supreme liberator"
Jesus Christ in His triumph over sin

The Cross become our Holy of Holies
The Lamb for sinner's slain
And the precious blood of Jesus Christ
Gives cleansing through His name
Sin had to take a leave of absence
For He died once for sin
And put away the need for sacrifice
To ever have it to happen again

Once for all O brother believe it
There is a Redeemer JesusHis name
Who can turn a sinner into a saint
And cause Him to glorify the Lord's blessed name
Being forgiven I now can forgive
God's love enabling I thank Him for that
Now I can love for He lives within me
Show me a Salvation better than that!
