When We Were Free Poem by DM W

When We Were Free

Rating: 5.0

O we used to watch the waves crash upon the shore.
We were one with the sun and moon; the wind and rain.
We opened and then ventured through myriad doors.
We were free spirits back then, before the darkness came.

Those giddy, glorious halcyon days of small boys and baby mice. And when they mature their best laid plans lie scattered all around them. And all to look forward to, guiding them through are old dusty recalled memories. A fine poem Dominic and beautifully presented. Five stars and well deserved. Take care and thank you.
