When What Goes Around Returns Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

When What Goes Around Returns

What should be kept important to everyone.
With it effectively showing aspects,
To one day affect us all.
Only becomes important to the ones,
Who perceive themselves...
Being immuned.
Until reality comes to knock.
Unstopping on their doors.
Enforcing them to be opened.
With a force no longer ignored.
And time too late to express,
Empathy for others they could have addressed.
To expect this to be received.
But in their hour of need,
Even their pleas to be heard...
Are limited to only their ears to hear it.

There are times when what goes around.
Returns with unforgiving memories.
And accompanied with feelings,
Expressing no regrets to be felt.
