When Your Soul Spoke - Poem by Jennie Renee Sparrow
I heard you call unto me again last night,
You have given to me a gift but it is still my choice,
A new way to see the world through its true sight,
You have summoned me as the one to be your voice.
The moment when your soul spoke its first words to me,
Like a magical symphony derived by your phenomenon,
I heard the notes and I will never forget its harmony,
Each time the melody sang like a Muse upon a song.
If it speaks again I wonder if it will be the same,
It is an entity of its very own breed,
I can remember the moment the rain came,
Such magic that I have never seen.
Falling upon the whisper through raindrops of my name,
As I recall the very first time when you showed me the moon,
Living without fears and never knowing any shame,
It was the sun's eyes that led me straight unto you.
Tasting the luxuries of what happens now,
I know what it is that I need and have to do,
Could you ever be the one to show me how,
All this time within the world it has led me back to you.
I'll be the one to take a stand,
I am the ocean, sky, and the earth,
To show them all that I am,
Upon the legend from my birth.
The ocean shall sweat my tears,
And the sky shall bleed my fears.
My fire burns in the heart that isn't broke,
Burning the flames of when your soul spoke.
