Where Are Promises Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Where Are Promises

Rating: 5.0

Let it not turn as hollow words
As if not spoken from mouth of lords
We may have to shed inferiority thoughts
War can be won without being fought

We can export weapons of mass destruction
It is done with our clear instructions
On the name of O, lord we prove to be champion
To keep them united under one strong union

No one may buy the arguments
It has earned already adverse comments
We are Hippocratic and liar community
We have no shame for precious humanity

All sorts of experiments are done here
Not even species and birds are spared
Unknown trials on living humans as trial
Where do we stand amidst our denial?

We are cheaters and scoundrels
Still we wish honor and laurels
Peace is thousands of miles away
All road are blocked on the way

Prisons are dark and shame on humanity
Still we talk of divinity and serenity
Not remorse in our heartless corner
We got to realize it later or sooner

I am from freedom fighter’s land
We have suffered it from beginning to end
Today we have given torch to entire world
With only aim to bring them in our fold

I feel real freedom is in prison
At least you know you are tied without any reason
You have pity for those out side living
With hollow words they are happy and believing
