Where Does One Step Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Where Does One Step

Where does one step.
To do it next.
When the unknown unexpected,
Suddenly appears.
Daring and threatening,
Scaring one to death.

Where does one step.
To turn to do next?
Knowing how different and unique,
This threat comes to be...
Beyond belief to describe extraordinary.
And relying on faith to chase fears away.

To say one should pray.
Seems not enough,
These overwhelming days to face.
Even to cry tears in despair.
Hoping God is there.
But where,
When one feels left abandoned.

Where does one step.
To do this next?
Maybe one should not step,
Done to do next at all.
But stop and to pray.
Anyway
Knowing God has to be there.
And everywhere to listen.
Hear.
With an understanding to make it okay!
