Where I Begin - Poem by L C Vieira
I may not be the purest soul
(not when I think of him) ,
but I believe in destiny,
the place where I begin.
If I had gone some other way,
and never stumbled past,
I'd be less richer than I am
in thoughts and things that last.
He's not sure what there is out there,
and I'm so sure there is.
I'm more the sinner than the saint,
but I've known forgiveness.
A feeling, yes, a joy, of course,
but some things harder still -
and comfort wrapped around me
with answers very real.
Whatever he may go through,
and fate knows that he will,
my prayer will always be for him,
with love, I know he'll feel.
