Where I Could Never Be Poem by H E Alexander

Where I Could Never Be

My eyes lost their will to look away,
my thoughts their power to refrain;
enticed into your blue corral, I yield.
You took me where I could never be,
where, as though time were no barrier
and love impose no limit,
I would wrap my arms around your pain
and take it as my own. To go with you
where my soul would cry no tears,
my heart bleed not such agony
and my sin could cause no grief.
