Where's The Starlit Sky Gone? Poem by Yasmin Khan

Where's The Starlit Sky Gone?

Rating: 5.0

Where's the starlit sky gone? Nocturnal sky's glow
dimmed by by faux lights, the moon's paralysed
Luster behind a sheet of earthly glaze

Heavenly melodies dissolved in rasps and rubs
Grunting under burden of cares, we've no time to dream
To fancy, life is too prosaic

Limpid waters have tainted, fishes gasp
Cypresses sigh in smoke clouds that
On burnt horizons cheerlessly trail

Scentless roses, beauty sans soul
Feet numbed by marble coldness
Yearns for warm touch of soil

Crystalline goblets of love have become dull
And misty, now pour impure passions
Hearts'wilderness with no blooms and buds

A sublime poem in great metaphor wow! I find how u used cypress and goblets and other terms very tasteful and poetic. Take care.

Powerfully unravels a mood of gloom and dejection! But be hopeful....! In the wilderness with no blooms and buds, another spring will visit! !
