I walked a broken road
As if though I was being told
Just to see were it led
So, I followed it up ahead.
I stepped on rocks and stones
And the occasional conifer cones
I avoided holes with water in the path
Where birds take an occasional bath.
Then I walked over branches and fallen trees
And I fought against a heavy breeze
Then I walked across man made bridges
And on the side of many ridges.
I crossed over many fences
While expecting any and all consequences
And wherever the road did lead
There I would heed.
I stayed on that road for many hours
I passed many beautiful flowers
And I also passed squirrels and deer
While they wondered why was I here.
The road indeed was broken
But, I followed it as the voice had spoken
And God bless where that road had led me to
Because, that road had led me to you.
