Know there is nothing wrong,
In keeping those expectations high.
Kept to keep for yourself.
The disappointment level,
Becomes easier to take.
With less heartache to self intake.

Although it is suggested,
Kept high expectations...
For others to keep that way.
To become repeatedly disappointed.
Stressed out, depressed and left upset.
Is not okay.
Nope.
Do yourself a favor.
See reality for what it is.
Whether high or low.
To accept what appears.

Keep what it is you do.
To do with you to approve of it.
Giving the best you can.
Since someone,
Regardless of who they may be.
Will never be pleased.
With your activities.
To have it said to others heard.
How you live selfishly.
And undeserved.

Accept this.
Do not argue with anyone,
Who has no clue.
As to what it is you do.
Or who you are.
Live.
Yes.
Live your life,
Without 'their' headaches.
And notice how fresh,
The air to breathe becomes.

"What on Earth has happened to you?
You look tremendous."

That pleases my own appetite! -
