Whispers Poem by Katherine Graven

Whispers

Whispers behind Innocents back
Coming in like a silent attack
Ammunition shoots out when deceiving one speaks
Not understanding or caring what effect it will be

Projectiles of expressions flows through the heart and into the soul
There is no healing of what has now been sown
For now unjust judgments has already been made
Before Innocents had a chance to have their say

The wound cuts deep with unwarranted cause
Innocents can now only except and take the fall
For the damage of reputation really has no merit
But Innocent’s defenseless shoulders still has to carry it

Rumors flow until Innocent’s can take no more
And all hope and will falls at life’s door
Life is so tragic when it ends this way
So know Innocents before allowing rumors to go astray

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Bullying and Gossip plagues every household in one form or another. Keep your words of deceit to yourself... for those words only show your own character. In the end you could be the reason for why someone lost their life or you could be the one who loose your life for spreading those words of deceit. In situations like these, whether it be the blame or the blameless, many lives are changed forever just because of words coming from a mouth or words fingers typed.

If anyone feels this poem can help someone then feel free to use it to bring understanding to someone who is being harmed or to the one who is doing the harming. (I allow this poem to be used for educational use only.)
