Whistle Poem by Kishore Kumar Das

Whistle

The bus conductor
blows the whistle
to regulate the stoppage
the traffic police:
to control the traffic
the railway guard:
to start the train
but look at the child!
he blows the whistle
to the viewer's delight
his cheek muscles beaming
with dimples of joy
enjoying the fun
in a frolicsome atmosphere
he is the King
in his carefree world
that is the lesson for me:
I can blow the whistle
to drive away my stress
the holy sound shall dispel
the problems too far
is it n't the joy of whistling?

Beautiful poem. It may be the joy to whistle, where it take us to childhood memories as well as to keep the stress away. Thanks for sharing.
