Who Am I? Poem by Reva Kern

Who Am I?

Rating: 5.0

A painting
Without pigment?
A musical composition
Without notes?
I speak in a language
Both singular and sonorous,
In images
Whose sounds are equal
To the spirit,
Whose concepts are as important
As the cadences,
Created in a palette
Of symphonic words
Shaded
Tinted
In differing hues
Culling emotions
From the deepest depths,
Intoned solely
By the human voice -
I am Poetry
