Who And Why Are We? Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Who And Why Are We?

Rating: 5.0

Nobody here appears who they should be.
And some are heard saying,
They're quite alone.

Nobody here appears stripped free,
Of showing a face...
Known as shown.

Who,
And why are we?
Who...
And what,
Is our destiny?

We come here alone.
To go on our own!
But,
To where?

Tell me,
Who...
And why are we?

Tell me,
What...
Is our destiny?

We come here alone.
To do what it is!
But who cares?

But who cares?

Nobody here appears who they should be.
And some are heard saying,
They're quite alone.

Nobody here appears stripped free,
Of showing a face...
Known as shown.

And who cares?

Tell me,
Who...
And why are we?

Tell me,
What...
Is our destiny?

We come here alone.
To go on our own!
But,
To where?
