Who Will Break When Storm Wind Blows? Poem by Terence George Craddock

Who Will Break When Storm Wind Blows?

Rating: 5.0

a simple frail reed seems
to lack strength character
blown by every breeze storm
wind violent breathless laid flat
an oak mature mighty cannot
bend to storm wind change devastating
proud tree countless years standing
undaunted may sudden back break in storm

among windswept
ground bare
a reed may sunshine
rise in breeze
sweet flexible
happy dainty dance

A wonderful philosophical write with a nice and apt title. We can never predict the strength of a person or any living thing. Some of us, in the course of time, have developed that kind of strength that no matter how small or frail we are in the outside yet there is that force within us that conquer the storms of life.
