Who Will Filch Golden Apples For The King

Rating: 4.0

Who will filch golden apples for the King
Stealing into the mythic world to bring back tribute
The feather from the exotic bird that snaps in two
The hemispheres; who will retrieve
The blue agate of the earth to make recompense
Let the seas wash over a second Atlantis in the jade shadowed
Sorrow of a disaster perceived too late
still may we find another home even through blind faith
As many times as the tale can be told
By those who are living it
Or dreaming it as it recurs
And turning the music box slowly with an antique hand crank
In a snow starred reverie
So that the charming figures come to life
And the quadrille continues, my sainted love.
