Who Will Tend My Garden Poem by Dorothy (Alves) Holmes

Who Will Tend My Garden

Now that I am old
Who will tend my garden?
Who will prune and water
The roses
Now that I am old?
I have tried myself to do
All that needs to be done,
Deadheading and weeding,
Ah it use to be fun...
Now I take a few steps and
Then sit down
Who will take care of the spider wort
And irises, Butterfly bush,
The bee balm and Miss Bradshaw.
Who oh who will tend the garden when
I am gone?
