Why? Poem by Bonnie Collins

Why?

Rating: 5.0

Walls of hidden secrets that have
harbored within my heart, never
wanting to bring them to the surface

Touching with the section of my
vault of forbidden emotions, trying
with every ounce to move forward

Dark Victories of sin can only be
moments of bliss at the cost of
other emotions, but I forgive you
as you are not victorious within
my world, but I will stand up and
once again fight your pitifull shame
only to wish and wonder WHY?

Wonderful flowering of thought, Bonnie. Forgiveness is a great virtue. It tires out the evil. Forgive instead of hate as Buddha did with Angulimal. CP

Why indeed! You use powerful words to bring your question to the fore and it leads one into wondering why as well! Then we poets do wonder about a lot of things, but you have made me wonder even more. Expert job Bonnie. Karin Anderson
