Why do we refuse to learn that
pride ends in shame?
Why do we refuse to learn that
shunning grace leads to disgrace?
Why do we refuse to learn that
humility leads to promotion?
Why do we refuse to learn that
what goes up must come down?
Why do we refuse to learn that
we should talk less and listen more?
That's why we have one mouth and two ears.
Why do we refuse to learn that respect
is earned and not demanded?
Why do we refuse to learn that
we must all reap what we've sown?
Why do we refuse to learn that we
shall account for everything we've done in this life?
Why do we refuse to learn that
we are spirits in physical bodies?
Why do we refuse to learn that
this world is not our home?
Why do we refuse to learn that every
second that passes by draws us closer to death?
Yes, death awaits us all.
Why do we refuse to learn that this life
is too short compared to eternity?
Why do we refuse to learn that all human accomplishments are vanity?
Why do we refuse to learn that it's wise
to choose Christ than choosing satan?
Why do we refuse to learn that we should talk less and listen more? That's why we have one mouth and two ears. Why do we refuse to learn........... is because we don't realise how ignorant we are. and until someone comes along or something happens that shows us what we don't know that is really going on and we need to be aware of. A very good piece of writing. On the last line however the word chose should be spelt as choose.
