I told Randy I was excited about Christmas
He said, "You say that every year."
I suppose he is correct in that statement
It is because my loved ones I hold so dear.

I enjoy doing things for them, you see
And it isn't only that I would say
I love the bright colored world
That encases us on this special holiday.

Each piece of décor that I set around
Means so very much
The Angel and the special house
My daughter added for a special touch.

My granddaughters bought special pieces
When they were just little girls
How I cherish them each and every year
They make exciting and brilliant swirls.

The baking is so much fun as well
Chocolate fudge, oh my, so good
Cookies of several kinds are fun
They all put me in a festive mood.

So, that is why Christmas means so much
I hope it does for you as well
Look around you and as you smile
Everyone will be able to tell!
