Why Not Jayalalitha? Poem by Rm. Shanmugam Chettiar

Why Not Jayalalitha?

Valmihi, a robber, become a sage
When he has written the Ramayana.
Why not Jayalalitha, corrupt though,
For her charisma and benevolent schemes?

Mao Zedong remains a revered leader
Despite his egoistic tyrannical rule.
Why not imposing Jayalalitha
Despite her egoistic canny excess?

(Jayalalitha, Chief Minister of Tamilnadu,
just died in the hospital, pending verdict on the appeal against acquittal of her)
