They hate me because I'm a Jew
Tell me, do you also hate me too,
If so, could you please tell me why
Why do you also want me to suffer and die.
I'm God's chosen people
As preached underneath every church steeple,
What is the crime that I have done
That you want to murder me with a gun.
Why is there so much anti-semitism
Is it because of our views and other's racism,
Or is it because of our wealth and power
And because of that you cower.
But, we are not all powerful and rich
And we too also lie in, and also dig a ditch,
There is no true difference between you and me
If only you would look and see.
Maybe you hate us because we were chosen by God
Maybe you believe that's a fraud,
But, if you would only look and read it in the Bible
Then you'd find out that we're not a rival.
Maybe then we are just a scapegoat
To which you can lie and judge and point your finger and gloat,
And unto you we all probably look and act the same
So, because of your troubles at us you point and blame.
Then maybe you hate because we killed Jesus
But, know this that wasn't everyone of us,
Unto the very same God we too worship and pray
And the Lord I see and hear him everyday.
Maybe it is because we are just different
Maybe it's how we look and act and our accent,
In Genesis Abraham is the son of Nahor
And unto our Lord God an oath he swore.
Maybe we are seen as an inferior race
Maybe they want us to vanish without a trace,
Do they have the same feelings and hate as Hitler did
But, I hope not and may God forbid.
They hate me because I am Jewish
I have been accused of many things including uncaring and shrewish
They hate me because of judaism is my belief
They hate and they treat me like a murderer and a thief.
