I dig my nails into your skin
To prove that I was there
Pieces of you inside my fingertips
I'm drowning; sinking in
Everything else disappears
The taste of you still upon my lips

I try to get back to where I started from
Makeup and glitter
But you said I wasn't the one
You snapped your fingers
I choked your neck

In my youth is where
I kept you all these years
After that you were everywhere

Your voice cracks
I'm taken back
You sing the words a little off key
I can tell that you've missed me
Here I am as I come along
We'll try again even if we still get it wrong

In the end we were both broken
But we weren't done just yet
You broke my fingers
I broke your neck
