Wild And Free Poem by G J Salgado

Wild And Free

Ever since I was a child,
I knew that I was born from the wild.
With braids and feathers in my hair,
Smelling the scent of freedom in the air.

Never thought that I was a savage,
My heart and soul the earth did ravage.
I was born from the land of the natives,
Of a free life that our Master Created.

Living with the animals wild and free,
Listening to Mother Nature as she speaks to me.
In my daily life I walk with her hand in hand,
Keeping me alive with freedom the rest of my days upon this land.
