Will It Always Be This Way The Sudden Moon Through The Clouds (Final Version)

this is for the children hand in hand in the forest
the woods are brimming with eyes
there is no firelight
the child in the corner reading his or her life
as if in prophecy, effigy
what can you sing to him or her from the distance
from the angelic distances
to shield them from what comes later
for their life to come...
returning to the picture in the picture book
how the shadows have lengthened
yet you will discern
at the last moment in a stray crease of light
ummistakebly for them
God has somehow opened through dense woods,
a path of Pearl.
