Wine And Cigarettes Poem by Anwer Tebai

Wine And Cigarettes

Rating: 3.5

In the middle of the night
Under the starry skies and the silver moonlight
I walk alone next to the endless shoreline
Reciting verses of eternal poems of mine
Smoking my cigarettes and drinking my wine
The sea plays beautiful tunes and so the stars start to sway
I dance with the wind but it wouldn't stay
The waves embrace the shore
And i wish i had more
But here there is only me
The skies the moon and the wicked sea
I close my eyes and lie upon the sand
Dreaming she is here with me but my dreams end
And in the end there is only me
The sad people the broken hearted and all of those that lived free

I walk alone next to the endless shoreline Reciting verses of eternal poems of mine Beautiful poetic expression of a young poet taking a stroll on beach front with wine and cigarette.
