Winter Night Poem by Kumarmani Mahakul

As snowfall has started in hilly areas,
People have gone inside their houses
Few have covered themselves with blankets,
Few have gathered wild skits and put fire
For warmness all are eager at this night.

Mothers have cooked warm food to serve,
Children are waiting to take dinner,
Cold weather has frightened many
But children are singing in joy.

Teeth are thrashed in teeth again,
Hands are kept inside woolen dresses,
No one likes to drink ice or cold water,
Warm water is served for drinking.
Winter's vow is noticed with deep fog.
